Safety is critical to quality and our firm has always emphasized the importance of safety. From the employment of a full-time Safety Director to extensive in-house training, ConServ has taken steps to provide a safety-conscious environment.
This year, we instituted a new safety initiative, the 5×5 program, created by Comfort Systems USA (CSUSA). This additional measure is designed to eliminate all jobsite hazards, improve quality, and maintain production.
The 5×5 Safety Program
The foundation of ConServ’s new program is to encourage our team to simply take 5 steps back and 5 seconds to identify all issues affecting quality, safety, and production. We provide a step-by-step process for our employees to identify, document, and address risk as part of their work routine. The process is reinforced with regular training presentations and videos as well as everyday visual reminders, such as reference cards, decals, and lanyards. We have also improved our method of post-accident documentation and review.
